An Infantry soldier, having served in the Indian Army for 36 long years, I retired in 2021. Since then I have been trying to reinvent myself and find meaning in social work, spiritual exploration, trying new things and skills. The journey is ongoing and I am not sure where it is going to take me.

Vrindavan, the revered home of Lord Krishna, welcomed us at last. Despite my Shaivite upbringing, marriage introduced me to a family of Krishna devotees, and my daughter Priyanka became an ardent follower. Her visit from Dallas prompted our long-awaited pilgrimage. Witnessing diverse devotees united in love for Krishna reaffirmed that spirituality transcends boundaries. Though brief, the journey left Vrindavan in my heart, reminding me that Krishna’s presence stays with us, wherever life leads.
